Enhancing Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Primary Health Care Initiative

Snapshots, September 2005

The Enhancing Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Primary Health Care (EICP) Initiative has reached an important milestone of interest to all those involved in reforming and improving our health system.

Two of the Initiative's key deliverables − a set of principles and a framework that will facilitate more interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork among health professions delivering primary health care in Canada − have been developed. Before the end of 2005, the Initiative will ask a wide variety of health organizations, including those represented on its Steering Committee, to show their support by formally ratifying the EICP Principles and Framework.
